Our Lady's Hands Charitable Giving is a service committee associated with the Mission Office in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. It offers limited funds, allocated annually, to support foreign mission projects. All projects that fall within funding priorities are considered. Funding is between $500 and $2,000. Other Sources of FundingEach year, three to four projects are recommended for approval to one of the Pontifical Mission Societies based in Rome (Holy Childhood, The Society for the Propagation of the Faith and Saint Peter Apostle). The Archdiocese also accepts a few projects as part of their missionary cooperative program offered each summer. How To Apply First, check the Project Eligibility section of the site to see if your project can be considered for special funding. If you believe your project qualifies, proceed with the following 1. Briefly describe the project to be funded. 2. Include a letter of support from the Bishop or Superior of the Congregation. 3. Include the name of your bank, bank account number, bank routing number and if applicable, the name and address of a contact person in the United States or Europe. Funds can only be sent directly to a bank or to a contact person in the U.S. or Europe. Click here for an online Application Form. Funding Schedule The committee generally meets in April and October. All final funding decisions are made at the October meeting. If your project is to be funded you will be notified following the October meeting. |
