Children in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles Catholic Elementary Schools and Religious Education programs are all invited to participate in Holy Childhood Association. We encourage children to learn about the children that they assist with their donations.

Assist, Educate, Encourage

Throughout the United States, thousands of children in Catholic Elementary Schools and Religious Education programs are realizing a mission commitment. Catholic educators:

Assist children in developing the habit of praying daily for their brothers and sisters in the missions.
Educate U.S. children about the lives of their brothers and sisters in developing countries, with the goal that children both here and in other countries will recognize how much their lives can be enriched by those from other cultures.
Encourage participation of U.S. children in programs that raise funds for their brothers and sisters in our Global Village.

This year children in Los Angeles Archdiocesan schools and religious education programs will be helping the children in Sudan during the month of October in the Going the Extra Mile for Kids in Need appeal. A special edition of It’s Our World is available on the needs of the children of Sudan. Those who subscribe to, the tri-annual publication of Mission News for children, will learn about children in other parts of the world. Once children realize the difficult conditions of their global brothers and sisters, they are anxious to share; and they give generously.
