 The Mission Office of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles accepts requests from Mission Dioceses and Religious Orders working in the missions to preach at a parish for the purpose of making an appeal for financial support. All requests are reviewed by the Mission Office. Dioceses and Religious Orders are invited to participate in the Mission Cooperative Plan on an annual basis. This annual appeal is one that helps unite the Archdiocese of Los Angeles with the Universal Church, and to animate mission awareness among the people of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. The generous response, which is traditional among the people of Los Angeles, is a reflection of the ongoing awareness and concern for the peoples of the world. Taking the opportunity to share in this mutually beneficial cooperative generates a zeal for the missions among this Archdiocese. Mission Dioceses and the leaders of men's and women's religious communities are invited to submit applications to speak at parishes within the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. These presentations inform the parishioners about the work in the missions and provide an opportunity for them to respond and support this important work. This Site is For • Members of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles – who may be interested in locating information on who may be, or who has recently preached in their own or another parish within the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. – who would like to make a donation on-line, which will be designated for the work of any of the Diocese or groups which have taken part in Mission Co-op. Checks made payable to Propagation of the Faith can also be mailed to our office. • Missionary Bishops and leaders of Mission Communities – who are interested in making a mission presentation/appeal within the Archdiocese of Los Angeles and wish to submit an application for consideration. Missions wishing to apply for aid from outside the Mission Co-op should apply through Propagation of the Faith. |
