Father Christudhas Mathavadian, Rector of Oriens Theological College in Meghalaya, India, says that his seminary could not exist without the generous support from the Society of St. Peter the Apostle:

The seminary has no other income; it solely depends on the support from the Society of St. Peter the Apostle. Our students come from lower middle class and poor families. The parents and the respective bishops of the seminarians provide for their personal needs.

The subsidies granted to us, through the generosity of Catholics throughout the world, are used for boarding and lodging of the seminarians and members of the resident formation team, for the academic expenses, purchase of periodicals and books for the library, payment of staff and other administrative expenses.

Every day the seminarians conclude their morning meditation with a special prayer for their benefactors. During mass, morning and evening prayer times and benediction, intentions are also added for benefactors. The seminarians are encouraged to pray for each of you on an individual basis, as well.
