Receive fraternal greetings from the Verbum Dei Missionary Fraternity. Trusting in your generosity, we are writing to you with the purpose of explaining to you the primary and urgent need that we are currently experiencing in our community.

First of all, we want to introduce ourselves and let you know our mission: We are a community whose main objective is to collaborate in the construction of a more human and fraternal world. For this, we give all our life sowing values of Justice, Love, and Truth through the preaching of the Gospel, being at the service of all kinds of people without distinction of age and sex, with a preference for the poorest and unprotected. Our mission is developed in the accompaniment and formation of children, youth, couples, and adults, wanting to contribute in this way to the formation of men and women who will be the new leaders of our country.

We are carrying out this work in different countries on five continents. Here in Mexico, we are in Mexico City, Puebla, Mexicali, Monterrey, León, Morelia, Querétaro, San Luis Potosí, and Guadalajara. In this last city, we are a group of Missionary Priests, Consecrated Missionaries, and Missionary Couples, who develop our mission together with lay faithful who share with us our charism and mission.

At this time, we come to you to present our need. We have a Missionary Center called “El Copo,” located in the mountains of Santa Fe, Jalisco, where we carry out our missionary activities. Throughout the year, we conduct retreats, spiritual retreats, formation in values, etc. At this moment, this Missionary Center depends on the rains of each year to collect the necessary amount of water for all our activities. Due to the drought that is occurring, the water collected is insufficient for the demand of the activities, forcing us to suspend moments that would be of great benefit to many people. That is why we have recognized the urgent need to build a water well. Thanks to God’s providence and technical specialists, we have discovered in our Missionary Center water springs, from where we could extract enough water to carry out our mission throughout the year. We have budgeted the cost of the project for the construction of the well, along with the water pump and accessories for its installation, which amounts to a total value of one million seventy thousand Mexican pesos.

We invite you to be part of this project with great social impact, and we ask for your generosity.

Reciban un fraternal saludo de la Fraternidad Misionera Verbum Dei, que confiando en su generosidad nos dirigimos a Ustedes con el fin de exponerles la necesidad primordial y urgente que en estos momentos vivimos en nuestra comunidad.

Primero que todo queremos presentarnos y darles a conocer nuestra misión: Somos una comunidad cuyo objetivo principal es colaborar en la construcción de un mundo más humano y más fraterno. Para ello, entregamos toda nuestra vida sembrando valores de Justicia, Amor y Verdad a través de la predicación del Evangelio, estando al servicio de toda clase de personas sin distinción de edad y sexo, con preferencia a los mas pobres y desprotegidos. Nuestra misión se desarrolla en el acompañamiento y formacion a niños, jóvenes, matrimonios y adultos, queriendo contribuir de esta manera a la formación de los hombres y mujeres que serán los nuevos dirigentes de nuestro País.

Esta labor la estamos realizando en los diferentes países de los cinco Continentes. Aquí en México nos encontramos en Ciudad de México, Puebla, Mexicali, Monterrey, León, Morelia, Querétaro, San Luis Potosí y Guadalajara. En esta última ciudad estamos un grupo de Sacerdotes Misioneros, Misioneras Consagradas y Matrimonios Misioneros, los cuales desarrollamos nuestra misión junto con fieles laicos que comparten con nosotros nuestro carisma y misión.

En este momento acudimos a Ustedes para presentarles nuestra necesidad. Contamos con un Centro Misionero llamado “El Copo”, ubicado en la montaña de Santa fe, Jalisco, lugar donde realizamos nuestras actividades misioneras. Durante todo el año realizamos convivencias, retiros espirituales, formación en valores, etc. En este momento, dicho Centro Misionero depende de las lluvias de cada año para recolectar la cantidad necesaria de agua para todas nuestras actividades. Debido a la sequía que se va presentando, el agua recolectada es insuficiente para la demanda de las actividades, obligandonos a suspender momentos que serian de gran beneficio para muchas personas. Por eso hemos visto la necesidad urgente de hacer un pozo de agua. Gracias a la providencia de Dios y a especialistas técnicos hemos descubierto en nuestro Centro Misionero manantiales de agua, de donde podrianos extraer la cantidad de agua suficiente para realizar nuestra misión durante todo el año. Ante ello hemos presupuestado el costo del proyecto de la construcción del pozo, junto con la bomba de agua, y accesorios para su instalación, el cual asciende a un valor total de un millon setescientos mil pesos mexicanos.

Nos acercamos a Ustedes invitándolos a ser parte de esta obra con gran impacto social y solicitando su generosidad. Nos despedimos de Ud (es) asegurándoles que les tendremos presente en nuestras oraciónes y agradeciendo de antemano su generosa ayuda.
