We are the Lovers of the Holy Cross of Los Angeles.  Our Mission of Love was started in 2013 to serve the needs of the minority people in remote areas in Vietnam.

Most people whom we serve are mountain people from different tribes, such as Hmong, Muong, Nung, Thai, and Jairai people.  The four general needs that these people still don’t have are clean water, paved roads, schools, and health care.

Besides providing medical care, we repair roofs, build homes, schools, churches, roads, cement floors, and filtration water systems.  We provide plowing machines for their farms, and bread ovens for priests to bake bread for children when they come to church on Sundays.  Most of them walk for miles from the mountain to come to church to learn catechism.  We also provide scholarships for poor students.

Our Mission of Love ministry is 100% volunteer.  The mission team volunteers go there each year, at our own cost, to assess the needs of the mountain people and to educate young people.  We hope to advance their way of living and alleviate their suffering.

With the help of many volunteers in Vietnam, Each filtration water system costs from $4000 to $5000.  The cost includes digging the well, building a house to protect the whole filtration system, and the filter system.  Each filtration water system can produce enough clean water for the whole village which consists of about 500 to 800 people.
