The Adrian Dominican Sisters, headquartered in Adrian, Michigan, have been involved in foreign missionary efforts for over sixty years. Presently we are ministering primarily in the Dominican Republic and the Philippines. Our missionary work includes ministering to the poor in primary and secondary education, Theology, work with the sick, abused, and imprisoned, as well as pastoral ministry and family work.

The Adrian Dominican Sisters engage in missionary work for the economically poor in the Dominican Republic. Grade schools and high schools are always expanding. The social services ministries in the barrios of the capital city, Santo Domingo, are always in need of support for special needs and projects, including health care issues for women and children.

The Sisters minister in the Philippines through education and social services ministries. A special project is assisting with food and education for the indigenous Aeta people in the hill country of the Pampanga region of the San Fernando Diocese. The women involved in the foreign missions possess the marvelous charisma of the Dominican Order and they are making a difference in shaping the world community.
