Dear Brothers and Sisters,

My name is Sister Maria Dang  Thi Anh Tin,  Superior  General of the Thai Binh Dominican Sisters Congregation of Thai Binh Diocese; in Thai Binh City, North Vietnam. I would like to send my respectful greetings to all of you. I wish each of you always to be filled with the grace and peace of Jesus Christ through the intercession of the Virgin Mary and Saint Dominic.

I would like to present the wishes and urgent needs of our Congregation.

Thai Binh Dominican Sisters is a Diocesan Congregation originating from Nha Phuoc Dominican sisters, established on March 25, 2004. The primary mission of the Order is to educate children in faith, culture, and comprehensive human education. In addition, we also participate in activities for human progress, such as free medical examination and treatment using Asian medicine methods for poor patients in particularly difficult circumstances.

Because our Congregation is new and young, we have many difficulties and are in need in many ways. For the past twenty years, the Diocesan Bishop has lent us the seminary premises as a place of healing. This place has become very familiar to many patients, especially the poor and disadvantaged.  However, the  Diocese now needs to reclaim the land for seminary activities. Our association has prepared the land; our concern at present is to have funds to build an Asian Medicine Clinic to serve and support patients with exceptional circumstances, especially in areas of the countryside.

To ensure we have the necessary conditions to care for our patients, we propose the following investment plan:

The proposed clinic will be comprehensive, featuring a prescription room, acupuncture room, thread implantation room, rehabilitation room, medical refill room, and inpatient treatment room for patients who come from far away and need to stay. Additionally, the clinic will have an area dedicated to preparing traditional Asian medicine.

The estimated cost for this comprehensive plan, including building facilities and purchasing additional medical equipment and supplies, is approximately 3,000,000,000 VND, equivalent to $150,000.00 USD.

The sisters’ daily work mainly involves volunteering and social charity activities according to the Order’s mission. We have a preschool for taking care of children for families with an average tuition fee per child of $305 USD per month, equivalent to 762,500 VND. The tuition includes food, water, electricity, and classroom maintenance. In addition to teaching preschool, we also farm rice and vegetables and raise livestock. Despite that, the income of our Congregation is still meager, so it is only enough to cover the sisters’ daily living.

On behalf of the Congregation, we humbly request your assistance in funding the creation of an Asian Medicine Diagnosis Clinic. Your support will enable us to better serve our patients and receive the necessary medical care. We deeply appreciate your consideration and any generosity and sacrifice you may offer. Your contributions will be seen as God’s gifts to those in need, and we are truly grateful for your support.

Our Congregation will especially include the Benefactors in daily prayers. Once again, I respectfully wish each of you good health and happiness in the spirit of enthusiastic service. May God grant you His peace and grace.

On behalf of the sisters in the Congregation, I want to personally express my deep gratitude for your consideration and potential support. Your generosity will make a significant difference in the lives of our patients and our ability to fulfill our missionary mission. Thank you!
