PIME Missionaries #1075

PIME U.S. Mission Center Director, Fr. Daniele Criscione (second on right),
at the Sick Assistance Center in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Founded in Italy in 1850, PIME Missionaries are priests and brothers who dedicate themselves as lifelong messengers of the Gospel to those who have not yet heard the Word of God. They live and work alongside the poorest among us in 19 countries, shedding light on the silent struggles of our brothers and sisters in the missions and connecting them to those with a spirit to help.

The funds that will be collected through the Missionary Cooperative Plan in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles will assist PIME in carrying out the mission of the Church in some of the poorest countries and remotest areas of the globe – Dhaka in Bangladesh, Manila in the Philippines,  São Paulo in Brazil, among the Mixtec peoples in the mountains of Guerrero State in Mexico, in remote areas of Myanmar and many other areas. These funds will assist us in supporting our projects in the medical, pastoral, educational, and social development fields and help with eventual emergencies or disasters in the mission countries where we are present. The funds will also help us manage our program in support of children, youth, the disabled, and seminarians in the missions.
