Today the Las Salette Missionaries have built churches, schools, and medical stations throughout Madagascar to serve the People. Madagascar is ranked as the 5th poorest country in the world and when “school is in session,” it is a big deal. Through the efforts and generosity of so many, the $20,000 needed to build the school had been raised. The cement building covered by a metal roof, provides two classrooms, desks for the children and teachers, a chalkboard spanning the entire length of the wall, books, and basic school supplies. There is still so much to do for the “bush villages” of Madagascar!
